About The Self Employed Club
A members-only savings platform for UK sole traders

Most people don’t go self employed to become expert negotiators.
But when it comes to everyday costs — from phone contracts and software subscriptions to insurance and utilities — many sole traders end up paying more than they need to.
Not because they’re careless — but because once those costs are in place, they rarely get reviewed. They quietly roll on, month after month, until “that’s just how it is”.
That’s a problem worth solving.
Why this exists
The Self Employed Club was created because we kept seeing the same thing:
• People working hard but still overpaying
• Costs that feel normal but aren’t competitive
• Decisions made early in self-employment that stick long after they make sense
Financial clarity shouldn’t be a luxury. It should be built around real behaviour, not generic money tips. So we asked a simple question:
What if sole traders had one place that actively helped them understand their costs and access savings that actually matter?
That’s how this platform started.
Who is this for
The Self Employed Club is for:
- UK sole traders
- People tired of feeling like they’re paying too much
- Anyone who wants clarity, not noise
- People who are willing to review their costs properly
- Those who prefer calm information over hype and gimmicks
If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re on the right plan, paying the right price, or even looking in the right place — you’re in the right company.
This isn’t a generic deals site. We focus on curated discounts and savings on the costs sole traders already pay.

Who’s Behind This
The Self Employed Club was founded by Anita Forrest, a UK Chartered Accountant with over 15 years’ experience working with sole traders.
After seeing hundreds of self-employed people consistently overpay for everyday business and life costs — simply because they didn’t have the time or leverage to negotiate better — it became clear there was a gap in the market.
The Self Employed Club exists to give sole traders access to curated discounts and savings normally reserved for larger organisations — delivered in a way that is clear, calm and commercially sensible.
This isn’t about free giveaways. It’s about making better financial decisions with confidence.
